Son's penis suddenly hurting

Hi. Son is 11. Says his penis hurts if anything is resting on it - so pants, trousers etc. He's had a nice bath which was ok, but it's still a problem. Only just happened from this afternoon. Any ideas? Wondering if it's a scratch, nothing visible though.

Is it red? Does it hurt to wee? Has he banged it, been on bike etc?

Doesn't seem red, doesn't hurt to wee so ruled out uti which is what I first thought. Not been out today. He's just a sad chap atm trying to sleep with nothing on and worried he can't go to school tomorrow. May take him to nurse tomorrow morning if not better.

Where exactly is the pain? May it be caused by puberty and the area becomes more sensitive

Has he been poorly? Is it possible that it’s testicular torsion? If so, it needs looking at straight away.

Update, the doctor gave some antibiotic ointment. He took couple of days off school and it's now much better!
