Stomach pain for 4 days

Morning All

I took my daughter (13) to the doctors on friday as she had moderate stomach pain lower right side with some nausea & slight bloating

Doctor had a good feel around and tested her urine - as there was some protein and a trace of blood in her wee she gave us antibiotics but did say if the pain got worse to take her to the hospital as it could be her appendix but as she wasnt in agony and no guarding she felt it better to monitor her at home and start the antibiotics which we have done

Today she still has the pain in the same area - no better and no worse - she still has mild nausea and doesnt want to eat much as she feels bloated, shes not had a temperature or anything - just seems to be this persistent pain and nausea

Now im not sure what to do - surely if it was her appendix the pain would have increased by now and if it was a urine infection would the antibiotics have kicked in ?? Don't like the idea of stomach pain for 4 days ( started thursday night )

Thank you in advance for any advise or comments

How is your daughter now?
It could be a grumbling appendix, my daughter had what we thought was a urine infection which did improve with antibiotics about a month before she had her appendix removed.
I've read that in mild cases antibiotics is used to see if it settles before they decide on surgery.
It might be worth a call back to the gp tomorrow if it's still ongoing and see what they advise.

Your GP advised you to go to the hospital if it persists so just tell them that when you get there and they will check her over.

Has she got an fever? If you or your DD presses in on the right lower side and leave go quick does that make the pain worse? Has she been constipated? Or loose poos?

Thank you all

She's rested all day and managed to eat some dinner - going to the loo fine and no temp at the moment - going to call Dr in the morning - tried a few times today but engaged each time

Will check for the rebound tenderness and I am leaning towards possible grumbling appendix at the moment as the pain is still there so will ask the GP about that tomorrow

Does she have periods yet? It could be cysts, fibroids, or endometriosis. I have all three (lucky me!) and from about 11/12 I was regularly in and out of hospital with suspected appendicitis. I still have my appendix over 2 decades later!

Good call I suspect it's appendix

How did she get on OP?

Hiya so spoke to GP yesterday and she was chasing up urine test results to see if a different antibiotic would be better - should have those results today - GP said as she was stable to continue to monitor her at home - there is still no change in her today - still got the same pains at the same level, hoping GP has a plan of action because my daughter is so fed up of it, she just wants pain gone
