Infected ear piercing

My dd who is 7 had her ears pierced nine weeks ago. On the 7th of September we got some antibiotic cream from the doctors because one of the piercings had some pus. It seemed like it was clearing up but I’ve just taken the earring out tonight to clean the area and apply more cream and there’s pus again. The earrings are gold. The antibiotic cream is fusic acid. Do I persevere? I know I shouldn’t let the hole close up because that just seals the infection inside. The doctor said it was ok to keep using the cream as long as needed but I’m just worried about the infection getting worse Confused

You need to speak to the dr or a prescribing nurse again, she may need a different antibiotic.

You need to see a proper piercers. Not a place like Claires that learn how to pierce with guns on teddy bears.

I'm not sure what age proper piercers pierce from, but I'd look up a number for advice.
