My DS school is doing HPV vaccinations. Are these something that would be necessary for a special needs child who is never going to be sexually active (unless one day they are in care and the unthinkable happens - abuse occurs). From what I know about the HPV virus (not much) it seems to only be transmitted through sexual contact, is this correct?
