11 year old keeps spotting

My 11 year old daughter keeps having days where she is bleeding. It's not like a full period, she is just losing really dark browny blood. Is this normal?
I started my period when I was 11 too, and mine just started and went into a regular pattern. But my daughter is having a day of a little bit of blood, and then 2 days of nothing then more blood. Should I be worried?

That's how my periods started 47 decades ago. I thought it was Diarrhoea because it was brown, and although I had received a little theoretical education about periods I had never been told it could be brown so it didn't occur to me that it was blood. I couldn't talk to my mum about it, she wasn't that kind of mum. Reassure your DD that she is fine, there's nothing to worry about. She will settle into a pattern sooner or later.
