Hi, just after some general advice regarding a friend who's daughter has recently been diagnosed with a form of cancer. She starts treatment next week and will be in hospital for about a week at a time as far as they know at this point.
Obviously this has been a terrible, terrible shock, and our friendship group wants to support them through it the best way we can.
My friend is a very strong person and is being typically stoic and thus I don't think will ask for help as such.
For anyone who has been through this/going through this, what actually helps? Is there anything particular that we get could them to take to hospital with them? Something they may not have thought of?
How about at home? They have a cleaner and grandma to is on hand to help with the siblings and the pets.
Also cautious of overstepping the mark, I'm trying not to text too often as don't want to be a pest. It's very hard, all advice welcome.
Thanks
