Bad dandruff- any recommendations?

My dd7 has developed really bad dandruff in the last month. She’s suddenly very sensitive about things like this and it would really affect her if she was to get teased at school about it so would like to get it under control as quickly as poss as it is very noticeable. We’ve tried childs farm shampoo and this didn’t seem to help plus it also seems to leave a thick coating on her hair (no matter how long i rinse it) that looks really greasy, and head and shoulders doesn’t make any difference. Just wondered if anyone has any success stories? Thanks

Bicarbonate generally does a good job when my kids get dandruff. I mix it with their regular shampoo to form a paste and rub that on the roots of the hair. Then condition the rest of the hair afterwards.
