Travel Sickness - Help!

Hello,

I'm not really sure what topic this should be under, sorry!

I have an 18 month old who is terribly car sick whenever we go out, within the first mile of driving she goes as white as a sheet and then within ten/fifteen minutes she's been sick (some times she will be sick again, sometimes it's just the once).

We have spoken to the pharmacy/GP and there is nothing we can give her until she is over 2 years - they suggested some homeopathy stuff but it has been discontinued and I can't get it anywhere.

Does anyone have an ideas what we can do to help alleviate this?

She is now sitting forward facing and we try not to go out for at least an hour after she has eaten.

Thanks x

Make sure she has something in her tummy not an empty tummy that always made mine worse. Windows open distract her as much as you can, talk to her, sing etc try travel bands and also sitting on newspaper is supposed to help!

It's grim, mine are older and have mostly grown out of it.

We tried absolutely everything with my daughter who was exactly the same, the only thing that 'sort of' worked was the travel bands. We used to find the correct place and then draw a dot so that whoever was closest could reposition them if they slipped. The medicine used to make her sick once she was big enough to take it x
