I brush all of my children’s teeth twice a day with an electric toothbrush. I’m very thorough. They don’t get much sugar except for fruit.
Two of my children have sparkling white teeth. Pink gums. Lovely.
One of my children has always had thicker, very slightly yellower teeth and slightly more red gums.
This child also quickly develops thick bands of plaque on the rare occasion they miss a brush. The other children don’t.
When I do brush their teeth after missing a brush their gums readily start bleeding in places and I don’t go extra hard to compensate.
All in all their teeth are brilliant compared to most but they seem predisposed to having bad teeth and it feels like it’s going to be an uphill struggle at they get older.
Is this such a thing? Anything to be done?
