What is this on my son's face please?

Hi.

So the doctor looked at it a few months ago and said it was a pimple that will go. Despite him already having had it for nearly a year. However I've noticed its got bigger and can't help but worry (massive health anxiety sufferer).

I've cropped the photos as I dont really fancy his face being on here but its at the top of his nose on the side near his eye.

I'm hoping it's a mole, but am worrying now its got bigger.

Thanks in advance

It's more than likely just a mole. They come in all shapes and sizes. However, I'd get a second opinion. Probably nothing to worry about though. Xx

Go back and ask to see a doctor with an interest in dermatology. Ask for a biopsy if worried and wait for the results. Seriously don't leave this. If it's getting bigger it's always worth checking.

I'm holding out hope its a mole but its the fact its grown. I will call my GP on Monday. Not that they are seeing patients yet but I would like it looking into

Looks a bit like molloscum.

It looks nothing like moluscum! I remember vividly what those fuckers look like!

SpideyMom · 11/07/2020 23:08

Do they go on there own. His had this way over a year and only recently I've noticed its grown

That is like a mole. Get it checked out. If it were moluscum it would have a “head” And there would be more of them by now. Usually there is a big one that is like the mother and a load of smaller ones

No this is just one and no others have developed. When i look up close it looks blister like. But there is no pain or itching

It just looks like a mole. You can see some smaller ones dotted nearby. I seriously doubt it's anything dangerous. But always best to get a medical opinion.
