Hair on baby

I hope I’m writing this in the correct section.

My baby girl was born with quite a lot of body hair, I was told by everyone it’s likely lanugo and will fall out soon. She’s now 5 months old and the opposite has happened- not only did she not lose any of the body hair, she definitely has become more hairy. She has visible hair above her lips, on her ears, her back, legs and arms.
We are of Middle Eastern origin so I’m aware her hair is naturally darker and more visible. But I am a little worried as it seems to be getting more and I’m not sure whether that’s normal or I should see a doctor? Any advice will be appreciated

It's really hard to say, but I've seen some very hairy babies, as you say normally with dark features. We're you or your partner hairy babies? If you feel it's unusual, best speak to your doctor, if only for reassurance.

My son was born hairy as he was prem (very dark hair like fur)n however it also fidnt fall out. Were white British but my son has relatively dark Mediterranean colouring with brown hair and eyes and as an 18 year old is hairy. I suspect your baby might unfortunately just be a hairy person.
I suppose it depends on the real extent of the hair (picture?), but maybe ask the gp or hv?

My DC is hairy as a baby and a child. Wasn't a premie. I'm hairy, too. It's normal for us as its our genes.

Neither me or husband were very hairy babies but as we are darker we were slightly hairy after puberty.
