Help! My 18month old hasn't done a poo in about five days :/. She loves bananas and grapes but she won't eat any other fruit and only drinks water... What to do?!? She does have a semi-ok diet but veggies aren't her strong point..

Lactulose should be ok. We used it for both DC when required. Think DS was about that age. Just check the does to give.

Bananas can cause constipation so maybe cut down on them. Could you incorporate prunes into her diet to see if that helps?

The best advice I ever got was to join the movicol mummies group on Facebook, a wealth of information and advice

Bananas can cause constipation. Try prune purée, my son is happy to believe it’s chocolate sauce ! White bread also bad for it , so things like brioche etc should be avoided . Other things that help : kiwi fruit , papaya , fresh orange juice. My son would sometimes go a while without pooing , check tummy to check it feels soft . If so and she’s not in pain just try the prune purée (Ella’s kitchen pouches are handy) they do really work
