Dropping several centiles

DS was 50% for weight and height when he was born.

He went up to 75 for weight before weaning but then dropped back down, and once he started walking dropped to 25th, where he's stayed ever since.

However I've just measured him and height wise he's gone from 50th to 2nd.

He's just turned two (25 months). Should I be worried?

Does he have plenty of energy, appear healthy and is he growing (albeit slowly)? If so, no immediate cause for concern.

Thinking a bit longer term, would you expect him to be on the second percentile for height ? Are you and his dad tall people?

Can be quite difficult to measure height in small children, were the previous measurements done lying down? It could be constitutional growth delay which is not uncommon in boys. But probably best to speak to a GP or HV if you are concerned.
