Can I bath 3 month old every day?

Title sums it up really, my 3 month old seems to stink all the time, he’s quite a sicky baby and the sick gets into his creases and stinks, I was his hands neck and face every day but he still smells, only a bath makes him smell better, will it dry out his skin if I bath him every day?

I did, did my baby no harm.

Absolutely. Just don't use anything harsh on his skin

whatthefuckamigoingtodo · 04/06/2020 18:41

(I mean you absolutely can bath him very day )

Of course - you can just use water if that’ll slosh the worst of it off and you’re worried about harsh soap.

Tiletiletile1 · 04/06/2020 18:42

But a very gentle organic baby soap should be fine I reckon?

nervousnelly8 · 04/06/2020 18:44

We did - DS loved his bath time and his skin was always fine. We just used plain water though, no soap at that age. You could always give it a try and if you find his skin gets dry, drop to every other day

Yes just don’t use baby bath or his skin will peel off!

Burrit · 04/06/2020 19:58

Thanks everyone I might try every other day and see how he gets on

Lots of people bath their children everyday as a matter of course so no harm will be done . Avoid soap and baby bath unless he is actually dirty

Oly4 · 05/06/2020 13:46

Yes I’ve always bathed my kids everyday. I’d want a bath after pooing in a nappy.
We’ve always used Child’s Farm bubble bath with no skin problems

I’ve always bathed my 18month old everyday. He was a sicky baby and when he started weaning he just seemed to wear more food than he ate! 6 year old DS only has a bath every other day. Less often if he can get away with it!

If he smells just wash him every day! It's usually easier than a top and tail anyway
Pinkblueberry · 05/06/2020 14:13

Bathing everyday is fine unless he has any existing skin problems. I don’t bathe mine everyday because it doesn’t seem necessary, not because I think it would harm his skin. If he smelled of sick I would bathe him. If you are worried about his skin you could just wipe him with warm water mixed with a little baby bath and a flannel.
