Molluscum on 4 yr old

Hi all. My 4 yr old has had molluscum for over 2 years and it's very bad over her torso, neck and armpits. Drs have been useless, it's getting worse and she starts school in Sept. Has anyone had any success with any treatments pls? It doesn't help that she picks them! Confused

I believe you can get an over the counter medicine - have you tried GP or Chemist?

I used a strong strength Manuka honey and it disappeared on dd after 6 mths. Fed ds with manuka at the time and he never caught it. But have been poo-poohed on here for suggesting it as a cure before.

It will just disappear though, eventually.

Both mine had it, eldest not so bad and lasted 6 months. No treatment. Youngest had much more and it didn't look nice. He was always filling with them and was sad when they went.. Think you can get cream but not sure it really works. Youngest sons disappeared at the same time that he picked up verrucas but was about 1 year. Mollusum disappeared and veruccas hung around for 6 months or more, even with treatment. Thinking about it, the eldest had veruccas as the noluscum disappeared Not recommending veruccas as a treatment :)

Have seen Moludab heavily recommended here, although i haven’t used it personally

'Drs have been useless' there are no effective treatments, it will go away in its own.

I gave dd thuja homeopathic tablets and thuja cream every night, she had had it for months and once I started the thuja it disappeared in 3-4 weeks. Ds then got it and it wouldnt shift-I know you shouldn't but I squeezed a couple, and then we squeezed the whole lot (maybe 12?) waxy white stuff and then a little white pearl, very satisfying and he never got anymore. I don't think I would do it again though as dd's didn't leave a mark whereas ds still has tiny scars (from about 3 months ago).

Milky dab is what you need. The first treatment cleared most of the lumps, and the rest cleared after a second treatment. There was enough in the bottle for two doses. It’s magic stuff! I got it on prescription but it’s worth paying for if you can’t get it from your doctor.

Doyouwantanothercuppa · 18/05/2020 09:13

That’s Molludab! Not milky dab Grin

Molludab is the only thing that worked with the huge one ds had but it hurts - ds said it really stings. He wanted to keep using it because he was old enough to understand and say that he wanted it to go away but personally I wouldn’t use it on a 4 year old.

This works

Wash on leave for a min and wash off

I did it at the end of bath time -

Two weeks and they were gone

Thanks all. Tried molludab and she was in agony and wouldn’t let me go near her for a week. Plus she has at least 300+ spots. Will try sudocream and fucidin next. Thanks again, first post and lovely to know I’m not alone!
