Our 9m baby is 99.6 on the centile for weight but 50th centile for height. They have to wear clothes for 12-18m to fit around the waist - still then quite tight. Has anyone else had a baby with such a difference on the centile?

I've heard HVs will worry. Altho all HVs I've ever had experience with are rubbish anyway.

I think this is quite common around that age.. my dd was similar and then she started moving and hasn't stopped for the last 2 years. Now the trousers which are long enough for her legs are baggy and fall down from her middle (hooray for dungarees!)

There is Sometimes a concern if there is a difference of more then 2 centiles between the 2. If you don't feel confident with your HV then a check up with your GP could be an option. The main reason being is things like these can somtimes indicate another health issue. But they look at the whole picture, so is your baby meeting their development mile stones as well.
If they though there was an issue then it would be a referral to a pedatrition.

I do think it's worth seeking a more expert option rather then just asking us on mumsnet though.

I'll absolutely get professional advice but not wanting to take them to anyone right now. Yes, all other milestones are met and she's happy and seems healthy! I'll call HV tomorrow and just see what they say.

HV said don't worry about length as they won't check until she is 2yo.

So the fact she's gone down from 85th to 50th for height but gone up from 98th to 99.6th for weight must not matter in the slightest.

She even said try adding another snack Hmm
