Baby has dry nipples!

My 14 wk old has very dry nipples. We do massage with coconut oil every day, but this doesn't seem to do much. They don't look sore or seem to cause him any distress, apart from when I rubbed them lightly with a ramer sponge in the bath the other night. Can anyone suggest what might be causing this, and what I can do to make it better? Thanks.

Try almond oil or lansinoh. Something is drying babys skin, possibly clothes detergent. Coconut oil sits on my skin and then leave it dry. I use it to remove make up but not as a moisturiser anymore.

How often are you bathing him and are you using soap? At that age they don't need a proper soap and sponge bath every day and it dries the skin. Mine basically sat in water when bathing at that age. Didn't use soap.

Also, I've heard good things about child's farm baby moisturiser. To be honest though, I didn't use anything on the skin at all with any regularity for the first year.
