Does my 15 month old sleep too much?

How much does your 15 month or similar aged child sleep?
My son seems to be tired most of the time lately.
Last 24 hours he had 11 hour sleep last night.
Woke up at 8- tired again by 10. Slept 11-1.30pm. Had lunch, tried again by half 3, slept 4-5.30pm. Had tea, bed at 8.
He brings his blanket to me when he's tired and it feels like it's all the time lately.

*He was tested for diabetes about a month ago as he was drinking loads and was under consultant for an illness he had in January.
The drinking stopped but seems to have picked up again now.

NHS guidance for that age is 11 hours overnight and 2.5 hours during the day.

So he's over, but not by masses.

Just on the sleepy side.

I wouldn't worry if he's otherwise fine?

Maybe he's coming down with something. Maybe he's due a growth spurt. Maybe he's about to have a development leap. Maybe he just likes his sleep.

My ds used to sleep 11 hours at night and a 3 hour daytime nap, none of my others slept that much and he was still having daytime nap right up until he started school. He is now 19 year old and still sleeps an awful lot, did you get results back from his diabetes test?
