Ring shaped rash (not a circle)

DD4 has developed this rash today. DH is taking her to the pharmacy now but I was wondering if anyone had experienced similar and what you think it may be? Doctors is closed.

She has no other symptoms at all and doesn't seem bothered in the slightest. We are assuming it's ringworm...Any other thoughts?

(I've attached a pic, using my phone so no idea if it'll attach successfully....if it doesn't attach, it's a very slight rash that is an adult fist sized-ring on her tummy, but not a perfect circle if that makes any sense whatsoever...!)

Eczema (maybe discoid?)
Granuloma Annular
Psoriasis

I’m not an expert but I’ve had something similar. Mine was GA. I think they all may require different treatment but Googalable. Is that a word?

Thanks for the reply. It's rough, dry and scaly which would suggest against GA. She has always had dry skin and the odd bout of eczema, but this looks very different.

Fungal infection - not ringworm through as it's the wrong shape.

It's not contagious, our bodies produce it naturally.

I have this on and off and get cream from the GP for it.

I'm prescribed daktarin for it.

Fab thanks, yes pharmacist suggested fungal infection and gave us Daktarin so all's well that ends well! Thanks so much

They can give you a shampoo you can use as shower gel if the cream doesn't work. Sometimes I need both if the cream doesn't get it under control. It's called Nizarol.

Yep, fungal.
