Broken brace in lockdown

My son (14) brace has broken today. One of the brackets has come unstuck from the tooth. I'll ring the orthodontist in the AM but has anyone else had broken brace in lockdown? What happens?
It doesn't seem to be hurting just uncomfortable and dont want it to cause damage.

This has happened to my dd too. I rang the orthodontist but they wont fix it unless they are in pain. This happened right at the beginning of lockdown but isn't uncomfortable for her.

My friends DDs broke last week. A wire was poking a hole in her gum, she was in agony. My friend rang 111 and was told to cut the wire off herself as they can’t be seen
