Concerned about mole on 6 year old

It's on her thigh. It was a normal mole, but I've just noticed it looks like a scab suddenly. It looks like she's had an insect bite that's been itched lots then scabbed over.
What do I do?? Wait and see? Or does it need looking at?

It looks a lot less like a normal mole IRL than it does in that photo.

You should phone the GP and they will probably send a photo to dermatology. My 10 year old had something like this last year. He has a mole on his arm and one day I noticed it was darker and a bit crusty. GP sent photo to dermatology and they did see him but by then it had started going back to normal. They said it looked like it had become inflamed for some reason. I would put something like sudacrem on it meantime.

Might have just scratched it.
