Any idea what this spot/mark is on 4yo's tummy (looks like a mouth ulcer, but on skin)

I've endlessly googled children's rashes and insect bites, but can't find anything that looks like this. To me it looks like a mouth ulcer, but it's on my 4yo's tummy, right where his waistband lies. He says it's not itchy or sore.

No other rash or marks, other than the little spot you can see on his leg in the pic

How long has it been there? Any others like the spot on his thigh?

DTs had CP that looked like that but they had (a lot) more than one!

We noticed it yesterday. No other spots. I did wonder about chicken pox, but not sure how it could be given that we've been in lockdown and he hasn't been in contact with anyone for 4 weeks (or however long it's been - I've lost count!)

Ulcers can form on skin, not just occur in mouths. Was the waistband too tight and has rubbed? I would just keep it clean and perhaps a breathable dressing to stop scratching etc. Bit of Avalon maybe.

It couldn’t be a tick bite, could it? www.shutterstock.com/search/tick+bite+rashes

@DangerMouse17 yes that's what I'm hoping! Although a slightly random spot and it would have had to have rubbed pretty badly to make an ulcer that big, I thought..

@zen1 I don't think so. Doesn't look like any of the tick bites I could find online and I also asked friends whose children had had tick bites and they said no too. No incision mark. Not itchy, etc.
