Hi all
5 yo DD told me she cut her hand a couple of days ago in the garden - palm - I had a quick look and we washed it and put a cold compress on it.
Couple of days later and it’s red and looks like a raised welt - I think it’s probably a splinter embedded in there from where she has since shown me she was playing (with an old wooden push along trolley - she said the handle hurt her)
Have tried tonight with a sterilised needle and all I’ve done is released some yellow puss- can’t get at the splinter. Have wiped with anti bac wipe , put savlon on and covered for bedtime.
Should I leave alone now or try again ? Is it an infection risk ?
