Can anyone suggest what this mark may be?

My daughter has had this mark for several weeks. It's looking a little pinker at the moment. I assume it is some sort of birth mark/skin lesion. Does anyone recognise what it might be? I'll get it checked out once life gets back to some kind of normal. Thank you.

How old is your daughter?

Missingmemarbles · 15/04/2020 18:59

Hi. She's 5.

I have no idea but following as my 11 year old recently has the same mark above his eye.

I've done a little research and think it's a spider angioma.

My daughter has had one very similar for a year and a half, of varying pinkness, on her nose. We checked it out-the doc reckoned it was a spider naevus (or angioma) and that it would go away on its own...

Spider or cherry angioma: I’m covered in them on my torso (pregnancy brings them in for me) and ended up with one in my forehead last pregnancy (I may have cut it out...not that I’m suggesting that). I’d get it checked out anyway, but that’s what it looks like

Just come across this and my daughter has the exact same size one next to her nose. She also has about 6 more - one on her upper arm, knee, hand and torso. She’s a red head, blue eyes, freckles and fair skinned so your picture reminds me of her, she’s also 5!

I also have hundreds of them so it’s probably hereditary.

Dr agreed with me that they are cherry angiomas and the larger one next to her nose is a spider Nevis and can be removed by laser at a later date if she is conscious or it goes bigger. She’s had the nose one since about 1 and the others have come over the years. ❤️
