Earache and dried blood

Ds3 (aged 9) had grommets put in 16 months ago. Since yesterday he has had an earache and some dried blood in one ear. I've given him calpol twice when he has needed it and he has been playing etc as normal. I'm wondering if his grommets are about to fall out or maybe a mild ear infection. I'm reluctant to take him to the gp with everything that's going on with covid 19

I would just ring GP to get a telephone appointmeny as I'd be concerned about the blood.

Pleased phone them, they are mostly doing telephone/video consultations anyway so may not need you to come in.
