Appendicitis?

DS is 9, he has woken with a sore tummy (bellybutton level), nausea and vomiting. He isn’t hungry or thirsty, he doesn’t want to lie down and it hurts if he jumps or hops. No fever. Can’t be a bug as he hasn’t left the house except for a walk around the block for 3 weeks.
Should I call the gp or go to a&e?

My ds had the same symptoms as your ds at christmas and I put it down to food poisoning, went to ooh doctors and was sent straight to a & e, so if I were you I'd be going straight to a & e.

Forgot to add that it was his appendix and were whipped out within a few hours x

I have the opposite story. Similar symptoms although the pain was a little lower. My son recently had his appendix taken out and it was actually food poisoning not appendicitis and it was missed.
I would just get proper medical advice rather than MN advice as we will all have different advice.

Call 111 for advice

How is your son?

Sorry for disappearing! Rang gp and they felt it was constipation and/or anxiety. He felt better by the afternoon. Thank you all for your help.
