Movical for baby

Hi! does anyone know if it's OK for a child to take Movical long term? My son just turned 1, and he's already been on Movical for 3 months as he was so constipated. I'd like to keep him on it as I don't think the problem has gone away yet but don't know how long is OK for them to take it for. Of course would ask doc but they're only taking urgent telephone appointments at the moment :(

Thanks! Lauren xx
