Hi, my DS3 has chickenpox, first child to have them so not sure if all is ok. He's had a fever on and off since Wednesday, controlled my calpol.

But he's woken up today and his eyes are quite puffy and one crusty, do i need to take him to be seen? Will he even be allowed in the surgery with everything else going on?

I really don't want to be the over reacting first time Mom, but also want to make sure my child is safe and well.
Thanks

Have you tried cleaning the eyes with cool boiled water and cotton wool? Are there spots near the eyes? It will be contagious at the moment so they wont want you in the surgery unless there are infected spots and even then you'd need to call in advance to warn them
