Hi there,
My 6 year old son has had a cough for 8 weeks now. He only coughs during the day, he sleeps fine at night.
We took a trip to the docs she said she could hear a few crackles on his lungs and prescribed antibiotics for a week. 4 weeks later and he is still coughing all day. I called the doctor back and he suggested to try an asthma pump, again no let up from the cough after using this.
We have tried all home cough remedies, warm lemon and honey, vics on the feet and chest, vapour steam, antihistamines (thought maybe allergies), dehumidifier....you name it we have tried it.
I dont know what to do from here, anyone experienced anything similar? Anyone have any home remedies I haven't already tried? 😥

My son gets a lot of coughs and I've found that if it's a tickly cough in his throat, it helps for him to swallow a spoonful of thick Manuka honey every few hours. If it is stuck on the chest, he has fresh pineapple either sliced or juiced, every few hours. It's alleged by some that pineapple is a natural antibiotic. In my experience, these have been more effective remedies than traditional cough medicines.
