What is this up my sons nose?

My son has developed a spot/scab up his nose that isn’t healing.

Is it just a scab do you think? My husband thinks it’s a precancerous polyp but he is known for being a drama queen when it comes to health problems.

Looks like a scab? But I'm no doctor so get it checked. Also if he has his finger up his nose it isn't going to heal quickly. We all know kids shove their fingers up their nose a bit too much!

I want to get it checked but with the current climate I feel a bit silly going to the doctor over it. Also want to avoid going anywhere if we can help it, but also don’t want to just leave it just in case.

Bless him, he picks his nose occasionally but isn’t always up there which is why I think it’s weird. My other child seems to have his finger glued up there

My son had something like this not long ago. It quickly spread into both nostrils and they were crusty and when he pulled it out it was bloody scabs. He had an infection in his nose that had to be cleared by antibiotics. Apparently very common in children. So much so that my Gp said to me WHEN it happens again to just call the surgery and he would prescribe over the phone.

Precancerous polyp extreme. He must be a delight to live with in the current crisis. Chin up OP

I’ve managed to fill an online thing in on my doctors website so will see what they say.
