Rash on child's leg. Any medics able to diagnose?

DD(7) has a rash which has been developing recently. She suffers from dry skin and eczema, so gets covered in emolient on a regular basis.

Does anyone recognise this rash? We're self isolating due to coughs at the moment so I can't take her to the pharmacist or GP just now.

I’m a pharmacist. My first thought was molloscum contagiosum.

Have a look at photos online if you can, it’s small on my phone here. If it is that, there’s not a lot of treatment to offer, it usually clears but can take months. The NHS website is very good if you think that’s a possibility.

Looks like molluscum contagiosum imo. Speak to the pharmacist. It's not serious,it'll go eventually.

Molludab worked for us

Teddypops · 18/03/2020 20:29

You can buy Molludab on amazon I think

Ok, thanks. I did look online and thought the same but have no medical credentials so was hoping for a more qualified opinion. Thanks very much both posters

That's definitely molloscum.

It's the first thing I thought, too.
