Hi all
So DD (20mo) had a slight fever but was generally herself and it was brought down by calpol. We didn’t think anything of it except for realising we had to self isolate now for two weeks (wail)
Today she has woken up with a weird blotchy rash on her face and slightly down her neck
Our doctor won’t see us because of the fever so I’m appealing to the hive mind. Any clues? She’s a bit miserable today but no temperature

Without any other symptoms it's probably just a viral rash, my son used to get them as a toddler always actually as he was starting to feel better after a virus and they used to last up to 10-14 days even though he was totally back to normal. He does have sensitive skin though.

Thank you @Nogodsnomasters she has super sensitive skin so that makes sense! She’s very much back to normal after this afternoons nap. No more high temps thank goodness.

I'm glad to hear that op. Yes my son's gets rashes from plasters, heat, viral, bacterial, contact dermatitis you name it his skin has had it lol. It's scary when you're trying to work out what's causing it but with the lack of other symptoms now I'd lean towards viral for your wee one.

Slapped cheek syndrome?

KTD27 · 18/03/2020 20:26

@novacaneforthepain I wondered about that too. Still a virus I guess? Thankfully not near any pregnant people recently.

My daughter is just recovering from it. She had a sore throat too, and a headache. But only for a day. Was very strange.
I think I had the adult version, because I had a headache and my joints hurt. Quite specific symptoms really, and they matched up with that particular virus.
Hope she is feeling better

My DD gets this when her new teeth (she's 6) are cutting through plus earache.

Maybe Roseola? Causes a high temp then a rash a couple of days later.

I think it’s HFAM! Can’t believe I didn’t think it given my older one has had it twice
