Scarlet fever from son

Long story short my 4 year old DS has just been out on antibiotics for scarlet fever. Took two doctors appointments (first GO we were given the 'viral rash' talk) and a week waiting for swab results.

I am currently 7 months pregnant and have had a sore throat for a few days - I'm calling the GP on Monday but does anyone know if I need to get penicillin too?

Has it been mild for a few days? If it has it's probably not scarlet fever. The strep throat that comes with scarlet fever comes on pretty quickly, I caught if from my ds last year and within about 8-12hrs of having a 'inkling' of a sore throat I was in agony. They might give you antibiotics though because of your pregnancy to be on the safe side.
