Projectile vomit and green poo!

So I've been breastfeeding my 5 month old exclusively up until recently however have started her on aptamil for a couple of feeds in the day and ever since then she has been having green poo and vomiting loads. She also has a rash on her face. I've read about it and think she might have a cows milk intolerance? Does anyone have experience with this? I have been plant based for almost a year so thinking the milk powder might be harsh on her tummy? I've ordered some soya based formula for her to try but thought I would ask while we wait for it.
I dont want to continue breastfeeding constantly now as I will be due to return to work and my job isnt practical to pump during the day.

Yeah both my kids have cows milk allergy and similar symptoms to begin with. Sounds very much like it. Giving a soy formula not a good idea as unfortunately many people who are allergic to cows milk protein are also allergic to soy. I would advise going to discuss this with your gp and having a hypoallergenic formula prescribed. Most children have grown out of this allergy by 1 year.

Thanks so much, I didnt know this! I'll make an appt to speak to the gp, I spoke to the health visitor but I find as soon as I say I'm plant based people tend to think I'm just over reacting because I want her to be vegan 😕

My son was exactly the same, had cows milk intolerance and had loads of green poos and vomited alot. Doctor got us prescribed special formula and things started to change. Hes sort off grown out of it now hes 3 but it's very common in babys and doesnt cause to many issues.
