7 month old constipation

Long story short my dd is 7 months old and has been constipated on and off since around a month old. She started becoming really unsettled with gas pain and struggled terribly to open bowels and when she did it was always hard. We tried diet changes adding in more fluids and weetabix prunes etc. However around 2 months ago she was seen by the hospital and given a big supply of movicol. Since then she has been diagnosed with CMPA and been given aptamil pepti by a Pediatrician. My gp isn’t pleased about this as she said she doesn’t have symptoms of CMPA but the pedi disagreed so went over her. My gp has now told me that she won’t be prescribing movicol anymore - I haven’t had any for 2 days and my lo has gone from being a happy little baby opening bowels easily daily to backed up again struggling with gas pain in the nights. She was sleeping through and stopped and recently started again after the movicol prescription. My doctor I think is being this way because she doesn’t want my child diagnosed as having a milk protein allergy and is annoyed the pedi has gone over her. The hospital told us not to lower the dose until she was ready to but the gp has cut our supply. She wants to see how she is in 48 hours but as usual my baby never feels constipated in her stomach which always is and always has been soft regardless of how many days it’s been since a BM. What do I do? She slept through 14 nights consecutively with movicol and now last night I’m back at where I was two months ago.
