Does this sound like impaction/constipation?

I've noticed over the past weeek or two DS 7 has been soiling his underwear slightly as well as complaining of tummy ache, looking pale & being a grump generally.
I suspected he was maybe constipated so have been encouraging him to drink more, go to the toilet regularly etc which he claims he has been doing Hmm
TMI Alert...This morning he woke up and there was quite a large amount of stools in his pyjamas, quite soft but not like the diarrhoea you get when it's a bug.
Does this sound like overflow diarrhoea? Thinking he could be impacted so I've started him on laxido as I won't be able to get him to the docs until tomorrow.
Wondered also what to expect if so as I've never had to do a disimpaction with an older child, my youngest was in nappies!!

Yes most definitely the signs. I have had 2 children suffer with constipation and your description matches my experience completely. Pop to the chemist and buy some calafig. It’s usually really effective. X

Also try putting him in a warm bath

Thank you, there was quite a large movement earlier so hoping that's cleared the blockage!
