3yo with sudden earache

My daughter has for the last 4 hours been suffering with a sudden earache that comes in waves.

Done paracetamol and then a bit later nurofen. Have also tried warm compress and as she's got mild cold have now got the vicks going.

She's asleep now, but will occasionally wince and wake up and cry, before falling asleep again. Anything else I can do for her.

Came on really suddenly.

Hello. Maybe you should book a doctors appointment? It will probably help you know what to do and how to either stop or null the pain.

Likely to be an ear infection

Have you checked temp?

If temp under 40 you could alternate paracetamol and neurofen for tonight

Then get out of hours gp appointment tomorrow

The pain can come on very fast
