Hi, my son is out the other side of a 2 month period of various infections and diseases. He finished a 4 week course of antibiotics last Friday.
So he's been drinking a lot lately, his urine is clear not yellow and his poos don't smell (probs not relevant but thought it weird ha)
I changed his nappy today, really full but his wee had this weird smell, like a chemical smell.
So I left his nappy off and when he (inevitably) weed on the floor I did a dipstick test.
It has come up positive for blood, nitrates and leukocytes. He has no fever or other symptoms at the moment.
Could he still have a uti?
I appreciate it wasn't a clean catch so I will be trying for a clean sample tomorrow.
I'm just so fed up it's one thing after another.
