Infant gaviscon dosage

My dd has been prescribed this for reflux and started on one sachet , then as weight went up she obv took the two sachets , now she's up to 6oz and started spitting up milk so I upped to 3 sachets as it says one sachet per 4oz milk , so that plus half a sachet right ? But if she's on two sachets for weight should it be 3 sachets ? It also says on pack not to exceed 6 doses a day well the doctor thinks a sachet is a dose but how can this be if it says two sachets per bottle and she has 6 bottles a day that would be 12 doses and contradict its own dosage instructions right ? I argued this with her she said no more than 2 sachets so she's fobbed me off with some infacol and two sachets gaviscon instead ... dd doesn't have wind pain or cry even , she was doing fine with the 3 sachets I have brought her down to 2 as doc said and she's sicking again , she said about trying a thickener instead or she wants her to have the medicine eg rantadine which I'm not keen on , has anyone else had this issue with dosage ?
