Is it really GERD/Reflux or could it be CMA?

My baby has reflux and is on C&G anti-reflux formula and Omeprazole. The Omep seemed to be helping but the last couple of days he has been screaming and really upset, arching his back during feeds, not finishing the full bottle, bad tummy pain and coughing. I went to dr today who increased his dosage of Omep. The last few days have been awful. There is nothing worse than seeing your baby in pain and nothing you do can comfort them. My worry is that this is a Cows Milk Allergy and that all of this is just suppressing it a little. Has anyone had experience of CMA? And if so, do any of the above symptoms seem plausible for this?

He has also started waking in the night uncontrollably crying :-(

@Pea2019 I know this is an old thread but did you ever get a resolution to this? Because it sounds like what's going on with my DD at the moment.

I've had two with CMPA. They both had mucousy nappies that stank of vinegar. Also youngest had a sticky eye which didn't clear up until all dairy was out of my diet and a skin rash

Thanks @Doublechins what did the rash look like? My baby's mouth smells a bit sour but I'm not sure if it's just sour milk. Not sure if I'd describe it as vinegar so maybe not...

It just looked like regular baby acne on his face and eczema on other parts of his body and I thought that's what they were but both turned out to be diet related.
