My poor dd has been up every night in pain for the last 8 days. ive done everything I could think of to settle her but it hasn't helped, didn't help that I couldn't see anything until 3 nights ago. I Spoke to the doctor and was prescribed vermox for the whole family apart from ds who is 4 month old. She also prescribed a cream to soothe and piriton to try stop the itch. I've also done ibuprofen. Tonight has been horrible, the worst so far. We took this on the 3rd. I was just wondering if anyone else's kids might have still had pain after taking treatment and how long it took to settle down and if this is just them trying to get their last eggs out before they die? Please tell me it gets better.ni can't take her feeling this way

It works by starving them to death. It might take a few days though.

You'll need to retreat in a fortnight to kill the hatchlings. When she wakes up, wash her bottom to remove the glue and fresh eggs that's what causes the itching.

If she's had them that long though, I'd be damp dusting the entire house.

I've done the stripping beds I've damp dusted the last 3 days and hoovered. think its more worrying as she seemed ok the first night after all the medication and then yesterday was awful. I was just hoping it would be getting better rather than worse. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced it before like this
