Hi

Looking for suggestions. My daughter is 10 but I think she may start her period soon. I want to be prepared. Should I just go towels or are period pants any good? She is very scared of blood so I want to make it as least traumatic as possible

Thanks

Most supermarkets have teen sections now. You can also get discreet tins/bags to store pads in.
Tell her school as there’s usually a teacher designated to deal with girls on their periods. There’s only one loo with a sani bin at my dd’s school so she’ll need to know which one.

Thanks for the school advice- never thought about the sanitary bin situation. I will get a variety of products so she can see what she prefers.

My Dd had a ‘show’ in Year 6, bled for about 5 days then nothing else for about 18 months.

Probably body form or always. A hot water bottle or a heat up bag too. I started aged 11 and my mum shooved a pad at me and I cried. She walked off. No warmth. I just wish she had chatted to me about it too.
