DD has very smelly poo

Sorry, not a nice topic, but hoping someone can advise.

DD (7) has had issues with her poo for years - huge amounts, often explosive and very smelly. She was also suffering from stomach ache often so took her to the GP. She was tested for celiacs. This came back negative so the GP was pretty dismissive after that.

We decided to see if it was a lactose intolerance and cut out all dairy. This has helped a lot. She no longer (or very infrequently) gets stomach pains and her poos are more regular. The issue is that they are still very smelly. To the extent that DD refuses to go at school because she's worried about being teased. It just doesn't seem normal.

Any ideas as to what we can do? The GP really doesn't seem interested.

Would she try probiotics? Might help to balance gut flora?
