My daughter is 7.5. She has some pubic hair, BO and now discharge. I took her to a paediatrician who says there’s no need to worry about her periods starting as she has no sign of breast buds BUT on the NHS website it says girls CAN start their periods without breast development. Does anyone have any personal experience to help me please?

My dd had this. Pubic hair began at 5. Lots and lots of investigations, hormone tests, ovary scans etc. Nothing sinister found. She started her periods the week she turned 9.
She took it all in her stride and was the experienced one when her friends went through it several years later.
The main issue from it was actually that she stopped growing once her periods had started. She had always been the tallest in her class and friendship group but she hasn't grown since and is now a petite 5'2 at 14 years old.

Thank you for your reply! When did her breast start developing? The dr I saw was convinced there’s no period without breast development but I’m doubting it after what I read on the nhs website! :(
