DS age 3 - always seems hungry!!!

My DS has turned 3 a few weeks ago, he's always been quite a big boy being 9lb 3oz at birth and is currently in anything between age 4-5 and 5-6 clothing depending on the shop as he's tall for his age too. He's active, goes to nursery 2 days a week as well as trips to the park and our for walks etc.

I've noticed in the last couple of weeks he always seems hungry and is asking for food. I don't think it's boredom as he's always playing with something or out as previously mentioned but he'll have his normal meals and always demand food in between.

It's not just junk food he demands altho he does regularly ask for ice cream biscuits etc (like any toddler I guess) but it's actual food like he'll want a sandwich not long after lunch/dinner, or more fruit or yoghurt when he's just had some for example.

I'm wondering if this is a growth spurt or if there's something else I try to be reasonable with his food and know he needs a fair amount due to his size but I'm overweight too and don't want to really lead by example if that makes sense

Any tips/advice would be appreciated! Thanks
