Hardly ever. Age 8 and 5.

They do sometimes have random pukes but never develops ir caused by something else

Looneytune253 · 26/01/2020 07:41

About 2 or 3 times and she's 9. We've just had a bug, my first since I was a child.

Enb76 · 26/01/2020 07:43

Never - aged 11

Mumshappy · 26/01/2020 07:44

Dd15 too many times to count. Dd9 and ds21months once a year so far.

confusedandemployed · 26/01/2020 07:48

DD is nearly 7. Proper, repeated diarrhoea and vomiting bugs, I think it's twice so far. Second one was just 2 episodes of vomiting.

IdblowJonSnow · 26/01/2020 07:54

Probably once every other year but I'm guessing. That goes for both of them. Same for me. Less so for dh.
However when I was little and when I went travelling I was always poorly with D and V.

SoloMummy · 26/01/2020 07:55

At 5, once every months from the age of about 2.
Diarrhea, probably had twice a year, but usually hasn't been poorly with it.

NemophilistRebel · 26/01/2020 07:56

3 years old and never

MincedOath · 26/01/2020 07:59

Nearly 16 and never.

AnnaMariaDreams · 26/01/2020 08:06

He’s 7, think he’s had a D&V bug 3 Or 4 times so far. Not for a couple of years though.

MarieFromStTropez · 26/01/2020 08:09

Never. I have two DC, one teen and one primary school aged. I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but my DC eat a vegan diet. I think most of these gastro illnesses come from chicken, fish and dairy?

beckywiththeshithair27 · 26/01/2020 08:12

I'd say mine have had 3 or 4 really bad ones. One of which required hospitalisation due to dehydration. Mostly when younger.

nonsensicalmess · 26/01/2020 08:22

About three times - aged six. Always fairly mild though and only ever vomiting or diarrhoea, never both together!

PickleMyPepper · 26/01/2020 08:26

DD has Norovirus once when she was about 10 months old - still raging at the baby weigh in clinic Angry
But, never again.

She's 4 now.

RuthW · 26/01/2020 08:32

Child is 22! She had one really bad one when she was 2. Perhaps one other in her life.

slipperywhensparticus · 26/01/2020 08:33

Yearly at least once a year age 7

BeyondMyWits · 26/01/2020 08:33

DD17 once
DD19 twice

All when they were around 5-6 years old. (one spectacular where DD6 vommed from top bunk onto DD5 in bottom one... trying to work out what to do first was comical - with hindsight)

mnahmnah · 26/01/2020 08:34

My eldest is 8 and he’s had it maybe 2 or 3 times, but in a minor way.

Mumof1andacat · 26/01/2020 08:36

Not once and hes 7 (fingers crossed, touch wood etc) I can only remember getting 2 as a child

TheSheepofWallSt · 26/01/2020 08:39

DS is 3 and he typically has had 1 a year. Although this year he did have a couple of random midnight pukes too, after overindulging at nursery party buffets Envy (not envy)

hazeyjane · 26/01/2020 09:57

They don't.

pinkytheunicorn · 26/01/2020 10:05

Once for DD1 who is nearly 4, DD2 never so far at 17m.

Baby doesn't go to childcare and DD1 didn't until she was 3. I think sometimes when babies go to nursery they get more as more exposure to other children and germs/babies putting everything in mouths and dribbling everywhere. By 3 the immune system is a bit more robust (though DD1 has definitely had her fair share of colds/coughs etc etc in the last year since starting and sickness was shortly after she started going!)

Dairy/chicken etc - no that doesn't cause bugs. Food poisoning with those things. And that's only if off/cooked incorrectly etc. Biggest cause of food poisoning is rice.... which is vegan!

Fishcakey · 26/01/2020 10:07

A couple when he was in the Infant school. Generally if DS throws up now it's because he has a temperature and a horrible cold is starting (touch wood, I don't deal well with it). He is 14 now.
