Help! How to make it hurt less when he wees?

Hi all. My ds (4) has somehow got a cut on the inside of his foreskin and it really hurts when he wees. I’m taking him to the doctor at 1100 (the earliest they can see him) but in the mean time he has to go and can’t because of the pain. I’ve tried a warm bath for him to wee in, and gently pulling his foreskin back just enough for the cut to not be in the way but he still won’t go. Any ideas? He’s so sad and I just want to help him. Thanks.

I'm sure GP will have advised the same, but try sitting him on the loo and pouring warm water from a jug over him as he wees. Or try weeing in the shower.

Definitely try the warm water or bath again. He may have a slight infection and the skin has cracked rather than it being a cut. Pulling back the foreskin isn't a good idea on little ones.

Thanks for the advice! Doc gave us some cream, plus advised ibuprofen and a camomile bath. Hopefully that will help.

Put his winky into a cup of water and let him pee in it. He won't feel the pee coming out and it dilutes it so won't sting.
