So the mystery spots have left these scars. Can anyone offer any advice on how to hopefully help and limit long time damage

Are they pitted or flat? Post trauma hyperpigmentation can last quite a while. There are various products on the market to reduce scaring, probably worth exploring. Given prominent location, might be worth speaking to GP about options.

They are like holes, I've been putting Vaseline on them last couple of days, what I've read I wish I'd try that sooner. I have bio oil in, I'll do a bit of research thank you

you need to use a high spf (or cover it with a plaster) to prevent permanent scarring.

it will take a few months to fade.

when dc had an accident and was left with a scar we were told by a dermatologist that it takes 6-12 months to fully heal (deep cut in our case) and surgical scar reduction is only advisable after 12 months.

Could it have been shingles? Chicken pox leaves pitted scars?

DD had a cut on her face and we bought some great stuff from Amazon, was about £25 for a small pot but 3 months later the scar is barely noticeable.

Was red and raised before.

Just checked it's called Nurisil MD

Ask to have Kelocote prescribed.

Amandapandax · 01/01/2020 11:53

Would rather stay away from prescription. Looking for something natural really. They said shingles at first but that's on one side, I'm sure it was hfm because he had ulcers in his mouth too. I'll look at that on amazon, bio oil might do something but it's literally only just healed
