Club Foot/Cunningham Brace

Have any mumsnetters come across this brace in helping with Club Foot?

Hi, I know you posted this back in 2019 but did you find any info about this brace? My son is 6 months old and has just completed the casting stage of the Ponsetti method. He’s now been given boots and bar and we are having a complete nightmare. He is just about managing to wear them through the day but nighttimes are torture. He screams solidly for hours. I can’t bare it - I can’t bare to see him in such distress.

I’ve been researching the Cunningham brace but can’t seem to find much statistical information. I’d love to speak with any families that have used this brace to see if they had success. I can’t believe that in 70+ years, the apparent “gold standard of bracing” is STILL boots and bar, especially for child with only one effected foot. It is so restrictive and uncomfortable. If you found out any more about this I’d be very grateful if you could share.
