Pale poo

For the last two days my toddler has had pale poos. Sometimes really light in colour other times slightly darker. His urine is also quite dark despite him drinking his usual amount of fluids. Does anyone have any experience of this?

He was sick once on Tuesday and seems to tire more easily and his appetite has been on and off. He had his flu nasal spray on Wednesday also so we put it down to either a bit of a bug or a side effect of the flu spray but now I'm not so sure.

Having googled it's saying it could be his liver or malabsorption. I've rung 111 and have been waiting for a call back from a dr for a couple of hours.

He was born with intestinal malrotation so any stomach issues could be serious. I'm obviously going to speak to the dr about it but just wondered if anyone had come across this and it had been nothing serious?

Things like this seriously stress me out so just hoping it's nothing bad and looking for some reassurance I suppose.

I think you should visit your GP. Probably a tummy bug, but given his previous medical issue and the dark urine, well worth getting things checked out.

Dark urine and pale stools together is normally indicative of a liver or gallbladder issue so he needs to be checked out. Take a stool sample to the doctors if you can or a photo so they can see the colour as that will help.
Good luck!
